A MAN was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was cut out of his car this morning.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service had to extract the man when his Nissan collided with a horse box in Winchester Road, Durley at the junction with Ashton Lane at around 6.40am.
Pumps from Bishops Waltham and Eastleigh, and two appliances from Cosham were sent to help rescue the man.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said: "A male driver of the Nissan was trapped in the car so needed to be extracted by fire.
"He has been taken to hospital."
She added nobody else had been injured in the incident.
The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital with leg injuries.
South Central Ambulance Service said the male's injuries were considered serious.
Four horses inside the box were moved to another lorry after the incident.
