A WOMAN who claimed to be responsible the 9/11 attacks and racially abusing people has been jailed.

Natasha Alexandria Eva Gallilei De Montana spat at a police officer and told a passerby they were the reason “the country is falling apart” in two separate attacks in July.

Montana, 48, was said to be so drunk after assaulting officers Cork and Wong, that she told them when being driven to Southampton Central Police station she was responsible for the September 11th attacks in the USA.

Southampton Magistrates’ Court heard that in her first attack, police were alerted to her walking in and out of traffic in Shirley Road on July 3.

When the police approached her she kicked out at PC Cork before launching a tirade of racial abuse at PC Wong.

Sital Mond, prosecuting, said the incident had left PC Wong “upset” as he was a Chinese police officer looking to unite communities.

PC Cork also suffered after being spat at and kicked by Montana.

Ms Mond added: “When the officers drove her back she rambled that she was responsible for 9/11.”

The court heard that in a separate incident Montana accused Aicha Pearman of “being the responsible for why the country is falling apart”.

Ms Pearman was with her friend Louise Deighton outside Sprinkles Gelato, in Above Bar Street, when the racial abuse was fired.

The incident left Ms Pearman “feeling extremely angry”.

Montana, who admitted five separate charges, was also sentenced for breaching a similar restraining order which was made by South Yorkshire Magistrates’ Court in May when she assaulted another constable.

Mitigating, James Cooley said his client had problems with alcohol and had been trafficked in the past.

He said Montana had moved from safe house to safe house and while she had been in custody since her arrest had become more settled.

District Recorder Peter Greenfield sentenced her to 34 weeks imprisonment for her “serious offences”. She was also ordered to pay £115 costs.
