IT IS the sky-high attraction offering riders a unique aerial view of the city - and the Daily Echo has already given it a spin.

Cruise ships, bustling shopping precincts and tree-filled parks all feature in the bird’s-eye view atop of Southampton’s observation wheel.

The 115ft attraction rolled into the Bargate on Friday and, after a two-day build, is now open to the public.

Ahead of its opening, the Daily Echo went for a spin on the “UK’s tallest mobile Ferris wheel” to give readers a glimpse of the view from its lofty peak.

We have also been giving away 25 family tickets to the ride, with the competition closing for entries last night.

The wheel is due to remain at the Bargate until Sunday, October 29.
