A SHOPKEEPER has been robbed at knifepoint by a man who demanded cash.
It took place at the News Plus store in Alfriston Gardens, Sholing, between 7.15am and 7.20am on Monday.
A young man, who was holding a knife, entered the store.
He demanded money from the shopkeeper, who was standing behind the counter.
The 67-year-old shopkeeper challenged the man and he ran from the store.
The man is described as:
- white
- aged in his late teens to early 20s
- of slim build
- wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up, a bandana around the lower part of his face, and dark trousers.
PC Russell Smith said: “This incident occurred early in the morning when not many people would have been around.
“We are keen to speak to anybody who remembers seeing a man running away from this area at this time.
“If you have any information please get in touch as soon as possible.”
