A MAN accused of murdering a father-of-two in the middle of a Southampton street has appeared in court.
Adam Abdallah, of Derby Road, made his first appearance at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with the murder of Kirpal Sanghera.
It is alleged that Abdallah murdered Mr Kirpal, 39, shortly before midnight on Monday, September 18, at a junction between Union Road and Radcliffe Road.
Wearing a grey sweater, the 42-year-old spoke only to give his name, date of birth and address.
Members of Mr Sanghera’s family wept in the public gallery as Abdallah addressed the bench.
The family were later asked to leave by magistrates for causing disruption in the court.
A short verbal altercation broke out between Abdallah and Mr Sanghera’s family as they left the room.
Abdallah will next appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday, September 25.
