A MAN has been stabbed in the chest during an attack in Southampton.
Emergency services were called to Coates Road at about 12.38am on Friday following the incident.
The 38-year-old victim was rushed to Southampton General Hospital for treatment and police have launched an investigation.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information to assist enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101, quoting 44170367026, or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
