A MOTORBIKE hit a child in Southampton causing rush-hour traffic chaos.
A black Suzuki bike hit the youngster around 4.30pm yesterday with police and the ambulance services attending the scene on Northam Road.
Paramedics attended to the child, with lanes closed for about an hour.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: "We were called at 4.23pm with the caller reporting a collision between a child and a motorcycle, resulting in the child sustaining a leg injury.
"We sent an ambulance to the scene and the patient was taken to University Hospital Southampton."
