BLACK History Month will see a host of activities celebrating the contributions of communities to the city.
Starting with a launch party today at Southampton Solent University, October will feature a series of events including Heather Small at the Concorde Club, a presentation in remembrance of those who died on SS Mendi, Love Soul Choir performances around the city and a special edition of BHM Karaoke in the Stag’s Head on University Road.
The London African Gospel Choir will play the Engine Rooms on October 22, renowned poet Lemn Sissay is set to perform at the Nuffield and there will be a debate on stop and search, on University Road on October 26.
