A HAMPSHIRE estate will provide the backdrop to a new advertising campaign for a major high street Fashion brand.

The house and grounds of The Grange in Northington were used by H&M as the setting for a new advert to be shown in November promoting their latest designer clothing range in collaboration with London based fashion designer Erdem Moralioglu.

Directed by BAFTA award-winning Australian film director Baz Luhrmann with four-time Oscar winner Catherine Martin, as creative director, The house and grounds were transformed by over 100 crew with flowers, foliage and furniture into an enchanting setting for the advert.

Mark Baring, owner of the Grange, said: “We were absolutely thrilled that Baz and Catherine brought their team to the Grange to shoot the H&M commercial. It was a huge task taking over the house and grounds for 5 days, with filming taking place almost around the clock. It was amazing to witness how Catherine and her creative team transformed the Grange from a derelict mansion into a magical midsummer night’s dream come Brideshead Revised set and Baz brought that vision to life.”

Mr Luhrmann said: “For me fashion is always about more than just clothing, it is a form of expression.”
