MUSLIMS and Christians gathered at Winchester Cathedral's Wessex Centre for a bring-and-share lunch.
The event was organised in the wake of the van attack on a group of Muslims outside the Finsbury Park mosque, who were run into while helping a dying man.
The theme for the lunch was 'loving your neighbour', in tribute to the Imam who then protected the attacker from the angry crowd.
A great time was had by the 80 people of all ages who attended, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Winchester, David and Diane McLean and Steve Brine MP.
New friendships were begun and subsequent events are planned to build relationships further and serve the wider community, said organiser Roly Reim.
