PANTO stars took to the streets in costume to meet shoppers and families.

The cast of Sleeping Beauty coming to The Brindley in December posed for selfies at Runcorn Hill Park and the Shopping City.

Benidorm star Crissy Rock, who appeared in ITV’s I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and comedy play Seriously Dead, received a warm welcome from the public.

She said: “I am looking forward to working with a great cast in the great venue and so close to home.

"There is always something so special about panto and I am already excited.

"The reception from the public at the shopping centre and the park was lovely and warm.”

The Halton Council show also features former Miss British Isles Rebecca Lake, actor, model and reality TV star Christopher Pym, theatre star Andrew Curphey and veteran dame Robert Squire.

Actress and singer Charlie Griffiths returns after starring as Fairy Flustered in last year’s panto at the Runcorn theatre.

Actor Nick Wymer, who appeared in Father Ted, Paul Merton The Series and The Bill, will play the king.

He has also featured in adverts for Weetabix, a Bollywood blockbuster as well as numerous TV shows and theatre productions.

Presented by Polka Dot Pantomines, Sleeping Beauty runs from December 11 to January 14.
