DRIVERS faced a morning of delays on the M3 after crashes on the Hampshire motorway.
Lanes were blocked on both the northbound and southbound carriageways, causing disruption.
The first incident happened on the M3 northbound between junctions 12 for Eastleigh and 11 for Winchester at about 7.30am.
This resulted in delays of around 40 minutes back to the M27 at junction 14. The vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder and traffic began to ease around a hour later.
A second collision took place on the southbound carriageway between junctions 11 and 12, causing further delays at around 8am. This was also cleared at around 8.30am with traffic easing.
It is not known if anyone was injured in the crashes.
