A SOUTHAMPTON pub has been granted permission to retain its garden seating.
The Ship Inn, in Old Redbridge Road, was advised it would only be accepted if the brick and slate seating area was sufficiently distant from the pub’s main listed building.
The plans received a mixed reception from the public with some saying the noise from the garden had become unacceptable. However, Southampton City Council agreed it was far enough away.
