SOUL icons Shalamar kick off their comeback UK tour at Eastleigh’s Concorde Club on Thursday October 26 for their ‘Friends 35th anniversary tour’

It comes as they release 'The Real Thing', their first new single in 20 Years (Itunes pre-sales from October 22. Single and video released November 4).

As Shalamar, Howard Hewett and Jeffrey Daniel sold over 25 million records worldwide and collected no less than 100 gold, silver and platinum awards. With classics such as "A Night to Remember", "I Can Make You Feel Good", "Friends", "Make That Move", "There It Is" and "I Owe You One", they established themselves as one of the iconic bands of the era both in terms of fashion.

Now back with a brand-new single, 'The Real Thing' is already receiving strong support from BBC Radio 2 and particularly Steve Wright.

The song perfectly encapsulates the uplifting immediacy and infectious sound which has brought them so much success over the years and they say there will be further releases in 2018.

He is considered a legendary performer and style icon.
