POLICE have closed off a Portsmouth park after an explosion.
The incident happened at about 12.40pm on Clarence Parade, Southsea, and officers have shut Palmerston Road and Clarendon Road.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "Please avoid the area and take alternative routes.
"We will try and return the area to normal as quickly as possible."
