SOUTHAMPTON law firms raised thousands of pounds to support children with cancer.

Law firm Trethowans has raised more than £8,000 for Joe Glover Trust in the last year.

The firm selected the charity that gives practical and financial support to children suffering with cancer as one of three dedicated charities for the year.

They raised money with several activities including bake sales and pancake flipping.

Staff from Trethowans has recently met with representatives from the charity to hand over its latest cheque.

Jane Wilmshurst, fundraising and events manager at the Joe Glover Trust, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Trethowans. They have raised an incredible amount. The Joe Glover Trust will be able to provide financial grants to support families facing the daunting challenge of childhood cancer and a very difficult journey ahead.”

Kate Stovold, from Trethowans’ charity committee, said: “We’re delighted to have raised so much money for the cause. Giving back to the communities we work in is really important to us and we’ve certainly had fun along the way with our fundraising activities.”
