POLICE are hunting for man after a teenager was left with "severe facial injuries" following an alleyway attack.

The 18-year-old was hit and kicked after he got into an "altercation" with a group of men on the night of Wednesday, October 18.

He was walking from the direction of the Buddha Lounge towards London Road with his girlfriend and two friends shortly before the incident, which happened sometime between 1.45am and 2am.

It is alleged that one of the men approached the victim and they became involved in an altercation.

Other men from the group then hit and kicked the teenager, leaving him with severe facial injuries and needing stitches inside his mouth and on his cheek.

Police have now launched a hunt for one of the attackers, who is described as in his 20s, white and around 5ft10inch tall.

He is believed to be of a stocky build, brown hair, which was worn in a ‘bun’, and short facial hair.
