GOSPORT Borough have been drawn away in the FA Trophy second qualifying round – but they don’t have far to travel.

Mick Catlin’s men have landed an all-Hampshire tie at Hartley Wintney on Saturday week (November 11, 3pm).

Hartley Wintney are enjoying their first ever Trophy campaign, having been promoted as Combined Counties League champions last term.

They currently sit third in the Evo-Stik South East, while Borough are rock-bottom of the Evo-Stik South Premier, having picked up just one point from their opening 15 league games.

Catlin, appointed successor to Alex Pike at the end of September, celebrated his first win in charge on Saturday as Gosport saw off lower league Bristol Manor Farm 1-0 thanks to an Alfie Lis goal.

“The target now is to start picking up points in the league,” said Catlin.

Moneyfields' reward for beating Yate Town 1-0 away is a home tie against Cray Wanderers or Grays Athletic.

Moneys - seven points clear at the top of the Evo-Stik South East - had skipper Steve Hutchings' early volley to thank for victory at Yate.

They also hit the woodwork four times - Ryan Pennery twice striking the post, Hutchings denied by the bar and Jake Raine also shaking the goal frame.

Former Saints Academy and AFC Totton goalkeeper Steve Mowthorpe played his part with a crucial late save.
