IT’S the Lee-on-the-Solent pub that now offers a slice of Italy for its diners.

The Inn by the Sea is run by husband-and-wife team Ian and Tracey Lee who have been at the helm of the village pub for 12 years.

Formerly a Crown Carvery, the pub has been turned into a Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery by owners Mitchell and Butlers in a recent refurb which took two weeks and created 12 new jobs.

The seaside retreat offers a wide selection of food ranging from pub classics such as hand battered fish, juicy burgers and steak and ale pie to a carvery with a selection of roasted meats with all the trimmings.

Another highlight is the pub’s new 100 per cent fresh dough pizzas ranging from classics including ham and pineapple to premiums such as goats’ cheese, spinach and red onion chutney freshly baked to order in their state of the art pizza oven.

An ice cream machine offers customers a sweet treat and there are sweet machines on the walls for the children to enjoy.

Tracey Lee, general manager at the inn, said: “We’re excited about the new changes and are looking forward to

welcoming the people of Lee-on-the-Solent.

“We have been here 12 years already and have a regular bunch of customers who always enjoy the atmosphere.

“When customers dine with us they can put on their plate exactly what they want.”

“We’re a real part of the local community and are looking to support local charities, projects and host a variety of events such as a quiz night on a Thursdays and activities that everyone can enjoy.

“When you next pop in to savour a good meal, or spend quality time with family and friends, be sure to ask us about what’s coming up!”

The pub opens from 8am for breakfast and stay open until 11pm seven days a week.
