HUNDREDS of people are expected to honour Halton’s war heroes at Remembrance Day services tomorrow, Sunday.

The annual civic service of remembrance will be held at the war memorial in Victoria Park, Widnes at 11am and at the Cenotaph on Greenway Road, Runcorn, at 3pm.

Civic dignitaries will join members of the Royal British Legion, organisations, uniformed groups, air, sea and army cadets, schoolchildren and individuals to pay tribute.

The Widnes civic procession will assemble at 10.05am on Lockett Road and move off at 10.35am prompt to arrive at the War Memorial at 10.45am.

The Runcorn civic procession meets at St. Michael’s Church, Greenway Road, at 2.30pm and will heads off at 2.45pm prompt to arrive at the Cenotaph for 3pm.

Hale Village will be remembering the fallen on Sunday.

Bill Sergeant, chairman of Hale Royal British Legion invites those near and far to attend the Remembrance Services at the War Memorial and St Mary's Church.

Organisations and groups taking part should assemble at Aran Close no later than 10:30am.

The Remembrance parade will leave shortly after 10.30am and march to the War Memorial for the service which starts at around 10.50am.

Members of the public are invited to gather attend.

After the service the parade marches to St Mary's Church to re-join the church service.

Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Wellington pub on Town Lane.
