A CLUBBER has been left with a fractured skull after a man kneed him in the head.

The victim, 20, was seriously assaulted just before 2.30am today.

He was walking home with his friends along Bevois Valley Road near the junction of Spear Road after visiting Jesters nightclub.

As the man and his friends were walking home, another group of three men approached them and an argument occurred.

The man was then kneed in the head by one man in the group.

He has suffered a fractured skull as a result and is being treated in hospital.

His injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to this incident.

It is believed that the group of men who committed the assault had also been in Jesters nightclub.

Two of the men have been described as Asian, in their early 20s and were wearing dark-coloured jumpers and black caps.

The third man was white with blond hair, had stubble, and was wearing a white T-shirt.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in Jesters who took photos on their phones containing people who match these descriptions.

Witnesses or anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101, and quoting the crime reference number 44170437547.
