A former pumping station which sold for 50% more than its asking price could be transformed into a home.
The building, at Stoneham Lane, Swaythling, sold for £142,000 - £52,000 more than the guide price - at auction in May.
Planning permission to turn the derelict building into a three bedroom house was granted in 2007 but lapsed before any work was done.
Now Swindon-based NWD Design, on behalf of the owner, are asking for permission to turn the station into a four bedroom house.
The plans include a two storey extension clad in grey powder coated aluminum and a new brick render for the existing building.
The plans include restoring the former station pump and displaying it outside the building, and buying a section of woodland, removing brambles and ivy and placing a tree protection order on the remaining deciduous trees.
The existing right of way would be moved to the other side of the site.
The pumping station has not been used since 2004 and has been derelict ever since.
