FOOD, festive fun and fizz.

There's plenty to keep the winter blues at bay in Hampshire this weekend.

Here's our guide to the top ten things to do...

(1) At Westquay...

THE iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck will be making a stop in Southampton this weekend.

During the event visitors will get the chance to wander through an enchanted wonderland, complete with seasonal music, before taking a photo with the truck and enjoying a free drink of Coca-Cola.

Once the sun has set, there will also be a special Christmas animation on display featuring 372 lightbulbs and 8,7772 fairy lights.

The truck has made 397 stops since 2011 and has travelled more than 730,000 miles - the equivalent of 29 times around the world and also forms part of the brand’s iconic Christmas advert which was screened for the first time this year last week.

This year’s tour started on November 11 in Glasgow and will see the truck visit 42 locations across the UK.

(2) In Eastleigh...

A NEW fizzy festival is coming to Hampshire.

Indulging in sparkling wine and a selection of pink champagne, a two-day Prosecco festival is set to arrive in Eastleigh today and tomorrow.

As part of a 25-event tour spanning 12 locations nationwide, Prosecco Fest UK will visit the Trojans Club on Stoneham Lane.

The festival will offer 20 varieties of Prosecco as well as a selection of Cava, Brut and pink champagne.

Live music and DJs will also be provided across the festivals, on top of food and the drinks.

Revellers can also try out a variety of cocktails on offer as well as beer, wine and soft drinks.

Street food will be available, supplied by event caterers Tapenade.

(3) In Lymington...

THE Lymington & Pennington Town Council would like to invite the whole community to join together and celebrate this festive season.

Christmas market stalls will be selling their wares tonight from 4pm until 8pm on the High Street, along with a varied selection of hot food and drinks.

St Thomas Church will be blessing the Town Crib at 6pm, along with a choir singing Christmas carols.

The Christmas lights will be switched-on by the Town Mayor Barry Dunning at 6.15pm and shops will open into the evening.

Santa will make his way into Lymington High Street with the support of his Elves at 6.30pm, where he will greet all the young children.

(4) In New Milton...

TOMORROW'S Christmas Festival in New Milton will feature entertainment from many local artists including; the Rock Choir, Encore, New Forest Players, tribute acts and more.

There will be scores of stalls in Station Road from midday, selling crafts and gifts as well as local food and drink.

The event will also incorporate a Lantern Parade at 4:30pm organised by The Lions Club and the town's Christmas lighting will be switched on for the festive season at 5pm.

(5) At Mottisfont...

MOTTISFONT is celebrating Christmas with colour and sparkle, inspired by a vibrant Kaffe Fassett exhibition in the gallery.

Discover a house dressed with statement trees, piles of presents and dramatic flower arrangements. Outside, artist installations will emphasise the natural winter colours found around the grounds and estate, from bright pheasant feathers to evergreen leaves, which families can discover with a fun-filled activity trail.

(6) At Southampton Common...

IT'S the jolliest jog around!

Get into the spirit of Christmas and join the Naomi House & Jacksplace annual Santa Fun Run on Sunday!

Make Christmas 2017 extra special for the local children and young adults cared for at the hospices. It costs £11,000 to run a full service each day, including Christmas Day.

The Santa Fun Run is the second in Southampton. A run around the 3km route begins at 9.30am.

(7) At Tudor House Museum, Southampton...

FIND out about Southampton’s wartime past with Dr Andy Russel on the Southampton Blitz Tour. Explore vaults used as air-raid shelters and discover more about the impact the bombings had on the city at the just under two hour tours, which get under way at 11am and 2pm.

(8) In Winchester...

IT'S the first weekend slot for the Winchester Cathedral Ice Rink, which returns for its 12th run this year. I

It will again be sporting its innovative and hugely successful roof, which guarantees a rain-free skate, whilst the open sides enable skaters to enjoy the ice rink’s unique setting under the shadow of the ancient and spectacular architecture of Winchester Cathedral.

As ever the Ice Rink will be surrounded by the highly acclaimed Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market which is frequently featured in the top ten Christmas Markets both nationally and internationally and attracted almost 500,000 people over its five-week run last year. 109 festive chalets will abound offering a variety of gifts and a food court with indulgent treats to eat then and there and or take away and enjoy home.

(9) At Winchester Guildhall...

WINE Festival Winchester is a chance for everyone to enjoy a feast of fabulous wines in the company of Susie & Peter, Masters of Wine from BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen.

The festival, which takes place today and tomorrow, will feature hundreds of delicious wines which all visitors can sample for free, from brilliant English wine producers to prestigious global brands via local wine shops and a wide range of quality wine suppliers.

(10) At The Furlong, Ringwood...

ENJOY the great taste of Hampshire, savour the delights of truly local food reared, grown, baked, caught & brewed in Hampshire at Ringwood's Farmers Market tomorrow between 10am and 2pm.

Home reared meats including buffalo and game, eggs, cheese, milk, ice cream, wine, beer, apple juice, bread, cakes, bakes, pickles, chutney's preserves, fruits and vegetables, wood and coppice goods.

Expect plenty of seasonal produce available for Christmas gifts.
