A WOMAN is demanding answers after she was knocked down by a driver amid “absolute chaos” outside a school.

Marie Dollery was “dragged” under a car as she stood waiting for her child at Harefield Primary School, in Yeovil Chase.

The 49 year old fell to the floor as her ankle became caught under the vehicle’s wheel and other parents quickly ran to her aid.

And now Ms Dollery wants the dangerous road at the school cleared up.

“Cars park anywhere along this road, it’s so dangerous,” she said.

“This incident has frightened me to death - my neighbours now take the children to school because I am on crutches.

“We have been warning everyone for so long that these cars just park wherever they want. It obscures the view and means other drivers can’t see each other.

“It will take a child to get knocked down before they do something.”

Other parents have contact the Daily Echo to express their disgust at those parking along the road. They want answers and want to know what will be done to change the situation.

Ms Dollery was hit by the driver on Monday, November 20 during the school run at around 3.10pm.

South Central Ambulance Service confirmed that she was taken to University Hospital Southampton.

Hampshire Constabulary said officers investigating the collision were making enquiries to identitfy the driver involved.
