HAMPSHIRE fire bosses and crews have been celebrated at an annual awards ceremony.
Members of Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service were thanked for their work as ‘one of the finest fire services in the world’ at the Celebrating Success ceremony at its Netley headquarters.
Awards ranged from organisations supporting the service to prizes for innovation, which was won by the #INeedMySpace campaign, aimed at educating motorists via social media to make sure vehicles didn’t block space outside fire stations, backed by the Daily Echo.
Fire and rescue authority chairman Chris Carter called the group “one of the finest services in the world, made up of some of the most passionate and professional people I have met”.
