PASSENGERS using trains between Brockenhurst and Sway are being warned they could face delays this morning.

Due to a vehicle striking a bridge between the two stations, all lines have reopened but some services may be affected.

South Western Railway has posted on its website that some trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

It is expected to continue until 10.30am this morning.

South Western Railway posted: "Due to a vehicle striking a bridge earlier between Brockenhurst and Sway trains had to come to stop and seek verbal permission from the signaller to continue, this has caused delays in the area.

"We are working hard to recover the service but this means trains may have to be cancelled, altered or revised at short notice. Some services may also be diverted via an alternative route or terminated and may start from a different location.

"If you require any assistance with your journey please speak to a member of staff, use a station help point or visit SouthWesternRailway.com.

"We are sorry for the disruption caused to your journey."
