A SOUTHAMPTON house had to be evacuated this morning after a tumble drier fire saw a kitchen engulfed in flames.
Fire crews from St Mary's and Redbridge attended the scene at Falaise Close in Lordshill at 11.54am.
The two-storey house had filled with smoke after the tumble drier caught fire.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to the property at 11.54am to a domestic fire. Everyone in the house has been accounted for.
"Two engines from St Mary's attended and one from Redbridge was also at the scene.
"Breathing apparatus and one hose reel was also used."
The stop message from the fire service came at 12.47pm.
