AN ELDERLY man is in a "serious" condition in hospital after police were called to a concern for welfare in Southampton.
Officers attended an address in Anglesea Terrace shortly before 1pm on Saturday.
An 89-year-old man was taken to Southampton General Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of fraud and to cause/allow a vulnerable adult to suffer serious physical harm. He has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
A 37-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of cause/allow a vulnerable adult to suffer serious physical harm. She has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
