NETLEY Central Sports and Lymington Town have added incentive to win their delayed Southampton Senior Cup quarter-final.

Awaiting the victors in the last four is a plum tie against Southampton’s Under-23s.

Radhi Jaidi’s Saints progressed to the semi-finals with a 3-0 win away to a young Winchester City side last week, having beaten BTC Southampton (6-0) and QK Southampton (12-0) along the way.

No dates have yet been fixed for the semis with three quarter-finals still to be played.

Along with the Lymington v Netley tie, the Sholing v Hamble Club and Team Solent v Blackfield & Langley games also succumbed to bad weather this week.

Netley Central are the lowest ranked side left in the competition. They sit second in the Hampshire Premier League Division One, level on points with leaders South Wonston Swifts with five games in hand.

All the other remaining non-League sides ply their trade in the Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division.

Sholing, the cup holders, beat Team Solent 3-1 at St Mary's last May.

Southampton Senior Cup semi-final draw: Sholing or Hamble Club v Team Solent or Blackfield & Langley, Saints v Lymington Town or Netley Central Sports.
