A MAN has been charged after a delivery driver was stabbed in a Southampton street.
Samuel James Wheeler, 19, of Edward Road, Southampton, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, a racially or religiously aggravated public order offence, and assaulting a police officer.
As previously reported by the Daily Echo, a 38-year-old man was attacked in Foundry Lane, Shirley, Southampton, at about 11.15am on Wednesday, January 17.
His injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
Wheeler was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today.
