EMERGENCY services rushed to help a man after he plunged from a Southampton pier.
Police, coastguard and ambulance crews rushed to Town Quay after the man fell off the pier and into the sea.
Emergency services arrived on the scene near the ferry terminal at 11.15pm on Friday, January 26.
However, by the time they had arrived, the man, who has not been named, had already managed to get safely back onto dry land.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 11.13pm last night (Friday 26 January) to a report of a man who had fallen into the water off of a pier at Town Quay.
"Upon arrival, the man had managed to get out of the water."
