DEVELOPERS have delayed a decision over controversial plans to build four new homes in Kings Worthy.
Members of Winchester City Council’s planning committee will visit the proposed site next month, in Boyne Rise, after hearing strong criticism from neighbouring residents.
As previously reported, developers are seeking permission to demolish the property at 5 Boyne Rise and replace it with four new houses.
The proposals, which would have originally seen five new homes built, have been recommended for approval despite drawing more than 30 objections.
Boyne Rise resident Terry Foley told the committee meeting: “I cannot see that there is space for any service vehicle to even access the site safely, let alone turn and leave in forward gear.”
However, the plans did receive a number of letters of support, including nearby resident Gary Garton, of London Road, who said: “This is an area well suited for new homes.”
