HUNDREDS of Girl Guides took to the great outdoors as part of an extreme winter camp packed with activities.
'Sparkle and Ice' saw the guides and their leaders take on challenges including climbing, abseiling, an assault course, tunnelling and zip-wiring at Foxlease Activity Centre in Lyndhurst.
There was also the chance to test camping skills in near freezing temperatures, before warming up with marsh-mellow toasting.
Emma Peill, 12, said: “I loved the forest zip wire, we went really fast through the trees.”
Scarlett Harrison, 12, said: “The best bit about Sparkle and Ice is the mud and I quite liked the climbing, it was challenging but great fun.”
