HAMPSHIRE residents have been left baffled by a pair of mystery lights moving across the night sky over Southampton.
They appeared on Friday evening at around 10pm, but there was no noise to suggest where they might be coming from.
The lights could be seen by residents in Portswood and Woolston, as well as further afield in Otterbourne.
Don Sommerton from Chandler's Ford, was one of the people left confused by the sighting.
He said: "I was at the top of a hill in Otterbourne when I saw two lights up in the sky at cloud level, soft round the edges.
"They moved at very high speed, maybe a mile or more a second.
"I don't think it was coming from a motorway or headlights or anything like that."
