I READ recently that toilet paper maker Velvet has reduced their toilet paper thickness from three sheets to two claiming that production costs have gone up.
Toilet paper is already one of the most expensive items on the weekly shopping list and it is a sure sign of economic problems when it’s price rises.
I can remember in the 1970s when toilet paper shortages added to the woes of the Conservative government whose troubles with the unions led to the three-day week.
The Heath administration was thrown out at the next election. Mrs May be warned, the signs are ominous.
