WEST END residents are encouraged to help raise money for a good cause.
Hope, based at St James’ Church, is fundraising to support charity Toilet Twinning.
The charity said over 2.4 billion people across the world do not have somewhere safe to go to the toilet and almost 1,000 children die every day from preventable diseases linked to dirty water and unsafe toilets.
West End church members are now inviting residents to help provide people in need with a safe toilet.
The Rev Linda Galvin said: “We take running water, flashing water and sanitation for granted but there are other places in the world where people do not have any of those things.” Collection boxes will be provided at the church.
