A TEENAGER sustained a large laceration to his face after he was "glassed" around the head during a late night attack in a busy Winchester bar.
An 18-year-old man was in Pitcher and Piano, on Colebrook Street, when he was assaulted just after 1am on Friday (February 16) morning.
He reported to Hampshire Constabulary that he was knocked to the floor when another man hit him with a glass. He said he was then kicked and punched while on the floor.
The victim was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment to a large laceration on his face.
Police are now appealing for more information. Officers investigating the assault would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.

A 26-year-old man, from London, has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
He has been released from custody and remains under investigation.
A spokesperson for Pitcher and Piano said: "We cannot comment on the incident as it is being dealt with by the police.
"We will continue to support and help them with their investigation."
