POLICE are interrogating two men after another man was stabbed in the back in Southampton.

Officers say the victim suffered a punctured lung when he was knifed in Bridge Road, Woolston.

According to police, the 23-year-old man had been with three other men at about 5pm on Saturday when they got into an altercation with the passenger of a silver Ford Fiesta in Tankerville Road.

The incident later moved onto Bridge Road at its junction with Radstock Road.

During the course of the incident the car was damaged and victim, from Woolston, was stabbed.

He is currently in hospital being treated for his injury.

Police have arrested two men, aged 18 and and 23 in connection with the incident.

They are currently being questioned by officers.

Police are asking for anyone who saw any of the incident to contact them.
