MORE than one hundred Hampshire residents gathered together to support women suffering from breast cancer.

There were lots of cakes and tea at the party held in support of Breast Cancer Haven yesterday. (march 15)

The event was part of the charity's Big Tea Cosy campaign and saw residents and celebrities including BBC South Today news reporter Sally Taylor MBE and 2016 MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire chatting together and enjoying a cup of tea while raising money for a good cause.

People across the county have been holding tea parties of all sizes during the month of March in support of Breast Cancer Haven, Wessex.

Heidi Rehman, community fundraiser at the charity, said: "We are thrilled that so many people are supporting us this year, so many people are affected by breast cancer and The Big Tea Cosy is a fantastic way of spreading awareness and raising much needed funds."

The event took place at Breast Cancer Haven centre in Titchfield where counsellors, therapists and health professionals offer the support that women need through their breast cancer treatment.
