HAMPSHIRE residents once again woke to find the county under a blanket of snow.

Roads, businesses and services have been disrupted again today.

And weather experts are predicting even more snow tonight.

Yesterday, organisers of the Eastleigh 10k decided to postpone the event, due to the "extreme weather forecast".

Southampton and southern areas of the the county were under a yellow warning of ice and snow last night.

Areas in the north, including Basingstoke, were put under an amber warning by the Met Office.

And the yellow warnings are expected to last until midnight tonight, with more snow expected at around 8pm.

It comes weeks after the Beast from the East and Storm Emma ground Hampshire to a halt.

The cold winds from the east mixed with a rain storm from the south, causing up to 15cm of snow to fall in some areas of Hampshire.

It caused schools across the county to close and major disruption on the roads.

At one point, the military were even called in to help stranded drivers on the A31, New Forest.
