BIN BOSSES have suspended kerbside collections in Southampton.
Southampton City Council say icy conditions on side roads and pavements are to blame.
In a statement, the authority said: "Today's waste collections have been suspended due to icy conditions on side roads and pavements making it unsafe for staff and members of the public.
"We will collect your bins as soon as it is safe for us to do so and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
It is the second time this month the authority has suspended household bin collections in Southampton.
The authority also postponed services early this month in the wake of the 'Beast from the East' and Storm Emma.
Dozens of schools across Hampshire, including several in Southampton, have either closed or opened late due to the snow and icy conditions.
