A BID to build a new extension have been approved by city council planners, despite Colden Common Parish Council objecting.
The plans will see a new single-storey rear extension erected at 17 Hazel Close.
Parish councillors objected to the proposal, saying: "The dormer windows are intrusive on the neighbouring property and will have an adverse impact on the privacy of 29 Hazel Close."
The objection was repeated by neighbour Miriam Benge, who added: "The addition of its proposed extension with sloping roof and loft conversion with dormer windows would appear very imposing from the rear of my property.
"More importantly, the said dormer windows would pose an unacceptable invasion of privacy due to their extra height above my property and in particular my bedroom window."
