AN EASTLEIGH club has been celebrating a major achievement.
Eastleigh Multi Sports Club has been awarded Clubmark status, the universally recognised club accreditation scheme which requires clubs to demonstrate high levels of welfare, equity, coaching and management within a community sports club.
Eastleigh MP Mims Davies presented the club with their certificate during the club's Friday night football session at Crestwood Community School.
And said: "I was delighted to present Eastleigh Multi Sports Club with Clubmark status in recognition of the inspirational work that the club carries out, providing young people from across our area who might otherwise find it difficult to take part in sports to get involved, make new friends and realise their true potential."
Club chair Suzy Foster accepted the award on behalf of the club and said:
“This is important recognition for our club. Getting Clubmark status reflects the hard work we have put in to ensure our club provides an excellent standard of specialist coaching, and activities that make a real difference to our member’s lives.”
