Flip Out Southampton is planning something egg-cellent for the Easter holidays. Festivities are kicking off with an Easter-themed after-dark event tonight and visitors to the trampoline and adventure arena can expect to be involved in a whole host of egg-citing activities. With the lights down low and the music turned up, customers can take part in an Egg Hunt with a difference, using glow sticks to light the way to hunt the chocolate treats hidden around the venue.Throughout the school holidays, little ones with an artistic flair are in with a chance of winning a bounce voucher and a chocolate treat by entering the Easter colouring competition.

It’s all the fun of the fair at B Cole & Sons Easter Fair at Southampton Common this weekend between 1 and 9pm. There’s plenty of thrills for all the family at this family-run fair. Drive the dodgems, ride the waltzer, scream on The Sizzler or take to the air on the Chair-o-planes, before slowing it down on the roundabouts and bouncy castles. Hook a duck and win a prize, or set your aims on the rifle range and assortment of other side stalls.

Itchen Valley Country Park have a range of Easter activities from Saturday until April 15, starting at just £2. Drop in any day between 10.30am and 4pm and follow the Easter egg trail through the woods solving the clues to find your chocolatey prize!

5 In Waterlooville...

Butser Ancient Farm has lots to eggs-plore and discover this Easter weekend. The farm currently has 17 baby lambs and 6 baby goats frolicking amongst the roundhouses; the kids are quite the escape artists so there’s never a dull moment keeping an eye on the new arrivals! Hampshire based Anglo Saxon re-enactment group Herigeas Hundas will be greeting the spring and making the farm their home with demonstrations, traditional crafts, cooking and fighting. The group will be showing visitors what life would have been like in 5th to 7th century in Hampshire with the backdrop of the farm’s Saxon Long Hall. Families can get a further taste for Saxon life by following the farm’s spring trail to find and translate Saxon Runes and reveal a secret message.

6 In Beaulieu...

Join the Golden egg hunt at Beaulieu this weekend, from today until Monday April 2, and crack the cipher code for a chance to win a New Forest luxury hotel stay.Celebrate the start of spring by heading off across the parkland of the National Motor Museum and Palace House in search of golden egg-shaped clues, which each contain a secret coded symbol. Keep your eyes peeled amongst the fresh green shoots as you note down the symbols, then use the Beaulieu cipher to de-code a special Easter word. To be entered in the prize draw, simply hand in your answer at Visitor Reception at the end of your visit.

7 In Alresford...

A Day Out With Thomas at the Mid-Hants Railway Watercress Line is back this weekend, with new, exciting funfair rides and a unique, tasty food offering. Unlimited trips can be taken up and down the railway line behind Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends, including Toad the Brake Van. Kids will also get the chance to shake hands with the Fat Controller and take part in other free Thomas-themed activities at the Imagination Stations. Free fun-filled experiences at Ropley Station include Horton’s Steam Fair vintage swing boats and chair-o-plane rides, a Thomas-themed entertainer, the miniature railway and a story corner, with Thomas stories read by The Fat Controller and Rusty.

8 In Petersfield...

Enjoy a delicious Daffodil Afternoon Tea at Langrish House. Feast your eyes on the glorious daffodils (dark glasses recommended!) whilst indulging in a selection of sandwiches on artisan breads, delicacies and a warm home-made scone with lashings of clotted cream and home-made jam. Tea can be taken at a table in the Dining Room which overlooks the garden or in the Drawing Room. 20, 000 daffodils were originally planted and each year more are added to the collection to give maximum enjoyment!

9 In Southampton...

Join Park Lives today between 11am and 1pm at the Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre for a brilliant Golden Egg Hunt! The cuddly Park Lives bunny will be hiding clues and tickets all over the park for you to find. Locate the clues and write down the special numbers to win a prize... it may be a brilliant one, or it might be a booby prize! There will be bonus activities to join in with throughout the day too so make sure you are prepared for a few hours of fantastic family fun!

10 In Winchester...

Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium is making some noise this weekend with its popular Hot Sounds live science show and hands-on activities. The Hot Sounds live show takes place daily every hour between 11am-3pm and entry is free with general admission, however pre-booking is recommended. As well as this and the two floors of interactive exhibits, hands-on science busking takes place throughout the Science Centre, and the Invention Studio is filled with sound-related challenges to experiment with and spark curiosity. Also for Easter, there is a full programme of live, presenter-led and 3600 fulldome films showing throughout the day in the Planetarium including, Secret of the Cardboard Rocket, The Planet Show, and Astronaut.
