A MAJOR Romsey road is to be closed through the day next week.
Botley Road will be shut for four days as part of the programme from Hampshire County Council to resurface the county's roads.
Split into two phases, the closure will be in place throughout the working day.
For April 3 and 4, Botley Road will be closed between the Luzborough roundabout to Elmtree Gardens.
For the following two nights, it will be shut from Elmtree Gardens and Northlands Road.
It will be shut to drivers between 9.30am and 4pm each day and remain open overnight. Although the closure is currently set for the four days, the closure may be extended to Halterworth Lane on April 4 to ensure the work takes only three days.
A diversion will be in place via the A27 Luzborough Lane, Southampton Road, Winchester Road until its junction with Botley Road.
Closures will also impact bus routes from Bluestar and Wheelers.
