VOLUNTEERS are needed to help run the car boot sale in Eastleigh.
As previously reported, the event takes place in the car park next to Leisure Bingo and out into the Market Place precinct every Saturday.
Now Eastleigh-based charity One Community is working in partnership with Eastleigh Borough Council to coordinate the recruitment of volunteer marshals.
Those who will be able to find volunteers willing to marshal at the car boot sale will receive £100 for their charity.
The organisation that provides the two volunteer marshals, from 7.30am to 3pm, will also get a free pitch at the boot sale.
The volunteers's role is to direct vehicles on and off the site and monitor sellers throughout the day, under the direction and supervision of a member of staff from Eastleigh Borough Council.
High viz vests will be supplied to the volunteers, who will be properly briefed before taking up their duties.
