READER LETTER: 'Why are clean streets a manifesto gift?'
GREAT to see our Labour Council proposes investing money to clean up our streets.
They’ve now been running Southampton for seven years. One has to question why they allowed the city to get in such a parlous state that they are now announcing extra cash to undo their poor management of our streets and are now claiming it as a manifesto gift!
As Oscar Wilde once said: “You’d have to have a heart of stone not to laugh.”
