WIMBORNE Town’s 54-goal hitman Toby Holmes has committed his short-term future to the Cuthbury club.
The prolific frontman has penned a new and improved contract, tying him to the Evo-Stik South West outfit until at least the end of next season.
Holmes’s burgeoning goal tally this season includes no fewer than six hat-tricks in his past 16 league and cup appearances.
The 25-year-old’s exploits have spearheaded Wimborne’s promotion bid with the club currently placed fourth in the table following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at home to champions Taunton Town.
Nuno Felix gave the Peacocks a 20th-minute lead which was wiped out by Matt Oldring nine minutes late in front of a 391 Cuthbury crowd.
Holmes has agreed terms on a new 15-month deal and Wimborne boss Matty Holmes said: “He is improving and he knows he’s in the right environment.
"If we were to get offers from full-time football, which is quite a few divisions above, we would not stop him moving on, but he wants to be part of what we are trying to do, which is great news."
