FIREFIGHTERS cut a man from his vehicle after a four car crash on a Hampshire motorway.

Crews from Redbridge, St Mary's and Totton rushed to the collision, on the M27 near to junction five, for Southampton Airport.

Three cars managed to drive away from the crash, on the eastbound carriageway around 8.30pm last night.

According to firefighters, a fourth car was left damaged, and the driver needing to be cut free.

He was treated by paramedics as a precaution.
