TWO men have been charged after a stabbing in a Southampton neighbourhood.
A 25-year-old man was attacked in Derby Road at about 7.20pm on Tuesday and taken to hospital.
As reported by the Daily Echo, members of the public tried to intervene and stop the attack.
Police were called and arrested two men, who have now been charged.
Akbar Ali Islam, 29, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton, and Azad Akhtar Khan, 24, also of Denzil Avenue, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
They are due to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court today.
